OUR STORY
It was purely coincidental that Ulla ended up moderating the EUROPEAN BAMBOO EXPO in Dortmund in June 2023. All of us had taken on various tasks to ensure the success of the event:
Rubén curated the FIBRA-AWARD exhibition on the upper floor of the gallery. Andrés proactively reached out to speakers and universities, encouraging their participation. Iraklis tirelessly communicated with everyone involved. Silvia almost joined as a speaker but unexpected maternal duties kept her away...
We were deeply moved by the incredible and humble individuals who participated, both as speakers and in the audience!
There we all were, but especially Ulla, meeting Susanne Lucas from the WORLD BAMBOO ORGANIZATION. Somehow, it happened that these two leaders, both almost white-haired women, landscape designers, and horticulturists, felt a mutual connection. They sensed the significant need for learning, exchanging ideas, networking, collaborating, and fostering a sense of belonging among those present. While dancing on stage, they realized the missing elements.
That's how it happened: EMPOWERMENT BAMBOO was conceived, still in its early stages, but remarkably impressive.
A few weeks later, we continued discussing it and sought advice from Susanne and Michel Abadi.
And then, we partnered up:
- SILVIA STREIFEL, a talented German Podcaster Pro
- ANDRES BÄPPLER, a well-known and decorated bamboo pioneer
- RUBÉN from Seis de la Manana Production, a wonderful intuitive sound and technical professional
- ULLA SCHUCH and her GERMAN GARDEN ACADEMY, a digital learning space in the field of nature, education, design, and sustainability."
And the WBO offered their support!
Another few weeks later, we launched our pre-website, the first podcasts, and the first workshop. And today, on october 26th 2023, EMPOWERMENT BAMBOO has officially come into being! It's now a new business division of the online company DEUTSCHE GARTENAKADEMIE. We are here to provide empowerment, collaboration, a think tank, and marketplace in the fields of nature, sustainability, paradise, and wilderness…
EMPOWERMENT BAMBOO represents more than just our business. It embodies the future of our planet - focused on healing, community, and collaboration. It stands as a symbol of the new era.
We are motivated to bring this project to life because we have the ability to do so. However, we can only breathe life into it with your collaboration.
